Benefit for Los Chiles Housing Relief or the House that DOOM built

The Krewe of DOOM is hosting a benefit to raise money to improve homes for extremely impoverished families living near Los Chiles, Costa Rica. The benefit will be Sunday, October 19th, 6:00 at the Blue Moon Saloon featuring the Lafayette Rhythm Devils and the ChinaBall Club. All proceeds go toward building materials for housing relief projects.

We will be accepting donations for specific project materials at the benefit. You can fund all or a portion of a roof ($600), concrete floor ($400), or water well ($200).

We'll also be selling original works and found treasure of the Krewe of DOOM at the benefit. We are accepting other treasure donations. Contact Leigh Anne Sharp, lasharp@gmail.com, 337-278-0830.

We are able to make donations tax deductible through checks sent to Kent Island United Methodist Church for the Los Chiles Housing Relief Project. Money raised at the benefit will be taken down to Los Chiles by a group of Methodists in February, 2009.
